Lace
Now, I'm not saying my idea was completely original, because Princess Grace certainly did it before I did:
But, I wore lace sleeves on my wedding day eight years and three days before Catherine:
(Forgive the horrible scan and the even worse photo. We had the worst photographer in the world, which I will regret to my dying day.)
Catherine did pretty good, though. ;) Her veil was lovely. And the tiara--well, you just can beat a real tiara!
Her sister looked beautiful, too. I loved the lilies of the valley in her hair. And I thought the Queen's yellow outfit was great.
After seeing the fabulous and usually ridiculous hats and fascinators that the guests to the royal wedding wore, I'm wondering if I could make something a bit more subdued to wear to my cousin's wedding this summer. Actually, much more subdued. Even then, I don't know if I could pull it off. ;)
(Also, how ridiculous is it for me to do a post with pictures of two beautiful princesses and...me? Heehee.)

Oh, I totally have wedding fever right now, too. :) I had to get out my wedding photos, videos, etc. and look them over. The ceremony used in the Royal Wedding was quite similar to the one we used in our wedding (although theirs was a slightly modernized). Kate's dress also reminded me of Grace Kelly's. Lovely! And I've said it before, but I'll say it again -- I love your dress and especially your fantastic bouquet! Happy anniversary!
Hehe, her bouquet is rather similar to yours too Serena! I love lace sleeved wedding dresses - yours is beautiful. Urgh, some of those fascinators were ridiculous - the worst were worn by Prince Andrew's daughters, what were they thinking?!
Your are even more beautiful! I loved the lace and didnt' know you did the same:) PS I had the worst photographer and too will regret it it forever!
Well, I would say that Princess Grace and Princess Catherine are in good company! :-) Your dress was just lovely -- timeless and elegant. But it's not half as lovely as the bride inside!
Catherine's dress is so refreshingly traditional and elegant. This being the 21st century, I was wondering what they'd come up with...
Fun post! :-)
Blessings,
Shannon
Love it! I had lace sleeves too. I loved her gown, tiara, veil... all of it! :)
Not ridiculous at all - you are GORGEOUS! :) I love all the photos - believe it or not, I hadn't seen any images from the wedding yet. Eye candy for sure.
You could rock a hat...go for it!
